My name is Stephen Greene…
I come from Birmingham, England. I have been an English teacher for over 20 years, teaching in Poland, Taiwan, London, Russia and Brazil. For the last 15 years I have been living working in Brazil, in both Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba.
I have taught all different levels and ages, from beginners up to post-advanced, and 3-year-old kids up to great-grandparents.
I have trained teachers all around the world, including for the Cambridge and Trinity College, London, teaching qualifications.
I have a Certificate and a Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, as well as an MA in Linguistics from the University of Birmingham.
I have written a number of course books and teaching materials for Cambridge University Press, Pearson and Uninter.
From all of my experiences as a language teacher and student, I believe that every learner is different. A modern teacher must understand all of the the different methodologies, strategies and techniques, and then use the best of them to suit each learner.
I hope you enjoy the podcast I have produced. It is the result of long years of teaching, studying and learning languages. If you have any comments, please let me know. I promise to answer everybody!
